Gerald Richards is famous for a number of ‘firsts’ in falconry including the formation of the Utah Sky Trials ‘Pigeon Derby’ and the start of ‘Great Basin Labs’, one of the first commercial breeding projects selling American Kestrels. This invitational is dedicated to the memory and preservation of the original Pigeon Derby conceived by one of America’s most revered falconry icons.
